Fort Leonard Wood MIRR

Study Process

The Fort Leonard Wood MIRR Study Process began in August of 2024 and is expected to be completed by September 2025.  A steering committee of regional community and military leaders and officials will work with a consultant team led by Benchmark Planning to develop the study.

Project Timeline

A project kickoff was held on August 14 at the Sustainable Ozarks Partnership Annual Meeting.  Over 200 people from across the region attended.

The first major step is focused on interviewing a wide variety of subject matter experts from across the region to identify the most important issues in the areas of resiliency and mission sustainment at Fort Leonard Wood and the region.

At the conclusion of the Priority Sector Analysis the consultant team will complete a Threats and Vulnerability Analysis based upon the priority sectors identified during phase two.

The team, along with the steering committee will prepare the draft and final MIRR study report that will outline the major projects and initiatives needed to help sustain the Fort Leonard Wood mission and shared resiliency concerns in the region.

Once the final study report has been prepared, all final deliverables and presentations will be completed.
